Summer Alexis Cox

Summer Alexis Cox, age 22, of Knoxville, TN, passed away suddenly on September 28th, 2017. Summer was a beautiful daughter, loving aunt, and a smart young lady who loved nature, all types of animals, traveling, and especially her family and friends. She was preceded in death by grandfathers David Reece and Lonnie Cox. She is survived by mother Karen Reece Cox and father Jeff Cox, brothers Shane and Shaun Cox, grandmothers Mary Vermillion Reece and Joyce Cox, and numerous extended family and friends. Summer will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Mynatt Funeral Home to help pay for funeral expenses. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 2nd, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel, with a celebration of Summer’s life to follow at 7:00 p.m. Bro. Chris Smith will be officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m. for a 2:00 p.m. interment service at Keck Cemetery in Sharps Chapel, TN on Tuesday, October 3rd, 2017.
