Steve Edward Collins, 77, of Knoxville, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021, at Parkwest Medical Center. He was involved with many organizations throughout his lifetime. He served as Worthy Patron of Knoxville Lodge of Perfection, a part of the 33rd Degree of the Scottish Rite of Tennessee, Knoxville Valley with Powell Lodge 582. He was also a member of the Kerbela Shriners and South Clinton Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed Collins and Mary Esther Susong Collins; brothers, Virgil Wayne Collins, Joe Howard Collins, and Jack David Collins; and sister, Betty Lois Collins Lambe. He left this earth 1 week ahead of his precious wife, Jean Brummette Collins. He is survived by his daughters, Angel (Terry) Winstead and Stephanie (Randy) Greene; brother, Harry Lynn (Sarah) Collins; grandchildren, Tabbie (Kent) Derreberry, Noah Lynn Winstead, Josh (Meggan) Greene, and Jake (Lindsey) Greene; great-grandchildren, Tinsley Derreberry, Luke Greene, and Stella Greene; sisters-in-law, Joyce Vandagriff, Mozell Collins, Stella (Doug) Patterson, Sandra Liles, Teresa (Dayma) Condra and Sue Pennington; brothers-in-law, David Ray Brummett, Jim Brummitt, and Tracy Lambe; and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Thursday, September 23, 2021, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with a 7:00pm service which will also include a Masonic Funeral. Family and friends will meet at Anderson Memorial Gardens Friday, September 24, 2021, at 10:45am for a 11:00am graveside.
