Steve Humphrey

Steve Humphrey, age 68, of Knoxville, Tn. passed away with his family by his side on February 14, 2025. He was a man of great courage who recently accepted the Lord Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He fought and won his battle with cancer when he moved to his heavenly home. What a great celebration that must have been when he met the Lord face to face! No more pain and no more suffering. He now has a new body.

Steve proudly served his country while serving in the US Army at an early age. Upon discharge from the Army, he worked for several years at the Halls plant of Clayton Homes where he made many great friends.

Steve then became the proud owner of Humphrey's Small Engine Repair serving the Halls community for over 28 years, He enjoyed getting to know his customers and made many friends along the way. Steve was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved his family very much. He was deeply loved and will be missed by many.

Preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Humphrey. He is survived by his faithful companion and sidekick- his sweet dog, George. Loving wife of 35 years, Linda Humphrey; Children, Stephanie (David) O'Connor, Jennifer (Brad) Letner and Steffanie (Danis) Lawson; Grandchildren, Kayla (Timmy) Lawson, Joshua O'Connor (Morgan), Bailey Letner (Brayden), Ethan (Emily) Lawson and Jacob (Kenzie) Lawson, Allie Letner; Great Grandchildren, Blakelyn, Piper, Emma, Emersyn; Siblings, Susie Harris, Diane Cooper, Henry Cooper, Kevin Cooper and Gary Cooper.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow at 8:00 PM, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel. Service Officiated by Pastor Bill McCarter, Pastor Jeff Chesney and Reverend David O'Conner.

Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, at 10:15 AM on Saturday, February 22, 2025, and travel in procession to the Texas Valley Baptist Church Cemetery where Steve will be laid to rest at 11:00 AM.
