Stephen Keith Buffaloe

Stephen (Steve) Keith Buffaloe, age 64 of Knoxville passed away at his home in Knoxville, Tennessee July 9, 2017. Born April 20, 1953 in Memphis, Tennessee Steve grew up in Wartburg, TN was a proud Eagle Scout and member of the Order of the Arrow attended Wartburg Central High School and the University of Tennessee. He loved reading, history, politics and while as a young man taught himself Morse code and became an Amateur Radio Operator (Ham Radio). His pastimes included walking his beloved hound dogs, travelling, and was an avid story teller. He is preceded in death by parents; James Benjamin Buffaloe and Majorie Freytag Redmon, Sister Mary Frances Borner, and beloved Aunt Ethel Freytag. He is survived by his wife Clarita Vineyard Buffaloe, daughters Amelia (Jonathan) Castellanos, Lindsey Lawrence, and son William Lawrence; Brother James Benjamin Buffaloe II, Cousin Brenda (Dallas) Davis, several nieces and nephews, and dear friends. Pall bearers are: Danny Pyron, Ernie Jones, Ernie Wright, Alan Crowley, Brent Campbell and Sean Buffaloe. A celebration of life will be held Sunday July 23rd 4:00-6:00 PM at Holston Hills Country Club, 5200 Holston Hills Road, Knoxville TN 37914.
