Stanley Wayne Garland

Stanley Wayne Garland age 82 of Corryton passed away Monday, August 23, 2021. He was a member of Branville Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his wife of 60 years just three months prior, Vernell R. Garland, parents Howard and Katherine (Dalton) Garland and niece, Janet. Stanley loved deeply and made connecting easy with those he loved. He was a good teacher and gave away the skills he knew freely to better others in their own lives. He loved people and wanted to be involved in every "ridge moment" there was. He just knew he might miss something if he stayed in the house, and we all loved that about him! Survivors; Sons; Greg (Amanda) Garland and Anthony (Valerie) Garland. Grandchildren; Ben (Jessica) Garland, Spencer (Heather) Garland, Kara (Ben) Waters, Casey (Katie) Garland, Abigail Garland, Anna Garland, and Addison Garland. Great-grandchildren; Maelee Garland, Emersyn Garland, Abe Garland, Lottie Garland, Elouise Garland, Rosemary Garland, and Elliott Garland. Brothers; Dave and Darrell (Peggy) Garland and Sisters; Donalene (Wayne) Hodge and Doris (Louis) Wells and special friends Roger and Jackie Couch. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 25, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel followed by a 7:00 p.m. funeral service officiated by Pastor Spencer Garland. Private family interment at East Tennessee Veteran's Cemetery. Pallbearers; Casey Garland, Ben Garland, Spencer Garland, Ben Waters, Eric Newman, and Youssef Sakalla.
