Stanley Fann (Mr. Book) Stooksbury, age 64, of Powell TN, passed away unexpectedly at University of Tennessee Medical Center, Tuesday April 11th 2017. Stanley retired from Knox County schools in 2013. He was a member of Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church for nearly 40 years in which he served as the organist. His church, music and teaching children were his passion. He loved them all and was a very loved man. Stan was preceded in death by his mother Willie Marie Fann Stooksbury in 1985; his father Glenmore Stooksbury in 2010; and stepbrother Mark Arnold. He is survived by his stepmother Mildred O. Stooksbury of Knoxville; a sister Bobbie Bradford of Arden NC; stepsister Donna Thomas (Barry) of Knoxville; very special niece (the daughter he never had) Catherine Lunsford (Bobby) of Alexander NC; special great nieces Tiffany Effler (Brandon) of Old Fort NC, and Trulena Hutchins of Rural Hall NC.; step-nephews Clayton and Drew Thomas; as well as several great-great nieces and nephews, an aunt and many cousins; and very dear friend Judy Fleenor, who was there for him until the end. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church for the library fund.
