Stanley Charles Clark, age 82, died peacefully at his home in Knoxville, Tennessee with family by his side, on June 22, 2021, after a short illness. He was born May 21, 1939, in Spencerville, Ohio, the eldest child of Wilbur Leo and Pauline Josephine (Fissell) Clark. Stanley is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Lee (Lewis) Clark, son and daughter-in-law Robert Lewis and Katherine Therese Clark, daughter and son-in-law Anna Elizabeth and Kenneth Turner, Jr., granddaughters Emma Elizabeth, Georgia Mae, Abigail Quinn, sister Mary Alyce Buelow, brothers Bryce Clark and Robert Clark, sister Jo Ellen Templeton. He loved and valued each of his family members and had a special pride in his granddaughters. Stanley graduated from Shawnee High School in Lima, Ohio where he ran track (hurdles) and played football and basketball. He attended Ohio University and was drafted into the Army. After two years of service in the Army, he worked in various corporate management roles. He retired from Gregerson’s Foods, Inc. in Gadsden, Alabama. He was active in the Lions Club and spent several years on the United Way allotment committee. Stanley loved woodworking, a skill passed down from his Grandfather Clark and his father. His father’s love of music was also passed down to him and to his children. The time he spent with his keyboards and guitars was precious to him. He always had a special enthusiasm for sports cars and especially enjoyed his membership Porsche Club of America and the club activities. We are so thankful for the support of good friends and good neighbors. Thank you to all the people at Tennova North ICU and at Tennova Hospice for their kind and wonderful care. A celebration of life for family, friends and neighbors will be held on Saturday, July 10, at 2:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Lung Association would be welcome. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mynattfh.com
