Shirley Ruth Giles

Shirley Ruth Giles age 82 of Knoxville Tn went to be with the Lord Sunday, December 25,2022. Graduate of Rule High School 1959. Lifelong member of Lonsdale United Methodist Church and retired from Fort Sanders Hospital Pharmacy as well as a major contributor to LUMC food pantry. Preceded in death by husband, Ralph Giles; parents, Buford and Ruby Bunch; sister, Betty Jo Lowe. Survived by son Greg (Tammy) Giles; daughter, Sheri (Mike) Akers; grandchildren, Ashley (Josh) Duncan, Sherissa (Brent) Lynch, Kelly (Gage) Dunlap, Loraleigh Akers; great grandchildren, Cooper Duncan, Greyson Duncan, Josie Lynch, Emma Lynch; lifetime best friend, Mildred Braden. A special thank you to the staff and residence at The Lantern in Powell, Tn. Family will receive friends on Wednesday December 28, 2022 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel from 6:00pm to 7:00pm with a funeral service to follow at 7:00pm, Rev. Walter Cross officiating. Family and friends will meet Thursday December 29, 2022 at Greenwood Cemetery at 10:45am for a 11:00am interment.
