Shirley Mae Norris

Shirley Mae Braden Norris, age 83 of Powell, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in the evening hours of Tuesday, December 6, 2022 with her family by her side. Shirley grew up in Powell, Tennessee and attended Mt. Hermon Methodist Church. She graduated from Powell High School and worked as a secretary at TVA and as a realtor. Shirley’s hobbies included watercolor painting, reading and movies. She instilled the value of education and a strong faith in her daughters. She was a giving, loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Grace Braden; sister, Edith Headrick and husband, Howard Norris. Shirley was very close to her siblings, James and Juanita Braden and Gayle Ferrell. She will be missed by her family and friends; Her daughters, Jan (Pom) Graves and Lisa Ramsey.; Grandchildren, Aaron (Courtney) Graves, Luke (Kira) Graves, Taylor Graves and Kelsey Graves, De’Cauri Ramsey, Verity Ramsey and To’Niyah Ramsey and her three great grandchildren, Cason, Makenna and Brynn Graves. Family and friends will meet 1:00 PM Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Greenwood Cemetery for a graveside service.
