Shirley Kelley, age 77, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016. She was a member of Alice Bell Baptist Church and was retired from Tennessee Cancer Specialists after 20+ years of service. She was preceded in death by husband, James Kelley; parents, William & Evelyn Copeland; sister, Sue Drummer; brothers, Billy, Jimmy, and Johnny Copeland. She is survived by daughters, Terry Ballard, of Old Hickory, TN, Sherron Trent and husband David, of Knoxville; sons, Jeff Ballard, of Knoxville, and Jamie Kelley, of Nashville; sister, Judy Deaver and husband Earl; 2 granddaughters, Ashleigh Siggers and husband Jonathan, and Annissa Troutt and husband James; 8 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and special friends, Patricia Arnold and Bernice Hudson. The family would like to express a special thank you to Oak Wood Senior Living staff and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to the Alzheimers Association of Tennessee or River’s Edge Christian Academy. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30pm Monday at Alice Bell Baptist Church, with memorial service to follow at 7:30pm, Rev. Donnie Wadley officiating.
