Shirley Jean Underwood

Shirley Jean Stormer Underwood, age 75, of Corryton, passed away October 31, 2013. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church of Halls. She retired from Levi Strauss after 30 years. Shirley loved to cook, especially at holidays. She was a wonderful and caring sister and special aunt. Preceded in death by husband and love of her life, Wendell Underwood; parents, Ross and Janette Stormer; brother, Bob Stormer; niece, Sherry Lynn Stormer. Survived by sisters, Joann Henderlight and Dot Prater; sisters-in-law, Barbara Stormer and Bobbie Underwood; nieces and nephews, Cheryl Benson, Ann Underwood, Jan Beretta, Dennie and Jody Underwood, Mike Henderlight and Greg Prater; and many great-nieces and nephews. Family wishes to express their gratitude to the dedicated health care staff at NHC of Knoxville. Funeral service 7pm Monday Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, Rev. Johnny Beeler and Rev. Ronnie Beeler officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:30am Tuesday and proceed to Greenwood Cemetery for 11am interment service. Family will receive friends 5-7pm Monday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
