Shirley Irene Stout

Shirley I. Stout, age 85 of Fountain City, passed away Friday, April 30, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. Member of Springhill Baptist Church, Mr. and Mrs. Stout were camp directors for over 40 years at Camp Springhill, held at Harrison Bay State Park in Chattanooga. Owner of Stout’s Hair Salon in Fountain City since 1986. Proud supporter of Fulton Athletics (Falcon Nest). Preceded in death by parents, John and Zula Dalton, brother Bob Dalton. She leaves behind her husband of 65 years, Foster “Shop” Stout, children; Pete (Donna) Stout, John (Carol) Stout, Jane Stout Brantley, grandchildren; Adam (Lindsay) Stout, Jacob (Lauren) Stout, Leah (Brandon) Wardlaw, Brittany Brantley, Islande Stout and Emily Stout, 10 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at their convenience from 10:00-6:00PM Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City. Family and friends will meet at 1:45PM Thursday, May 6, 2021 at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery for a 2:00PM committal service, grandson Jacob Stout officiating.
