Gene England

Shirley Eugene England, age 79 of Knoxville, passed away June 2, 2024. He was crane operator for Powell Erectors and Riggers, as well as, Southland Erectors and Riggers for many years. Gene enjoyed watching UT football, throwing darts, and fishing. Preceded in death by parents Tom and Nan England, brother J.D. England, and sister Helen England. Survived by wife of 41 years Brenda England, son Robin (Doran) England, daughter Sandy Hyden, step-son David Smith, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother Melvin England, sisters Edna Johnson and Patricia Linville.
