Shirley Ann McGinnis

Shirley Ann McGinnis, age 74 years old, passed away on February 1, 2025, surrounded by family and loved ones. Shirley was a sweet natured woman who saw the best in everyone. She was a member of University Church. Shirley loved crossword puzzles, 50’s and 60’s music and television, dancing, and most of all spending time with her grandbabies.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Leeann Chappell and son-in-law, James Chappell, who she loved like her own son; twin brother, Billy Wyrick; sister, Brenda Martin; grandchildren, James Lee (Tru-la-loo), Michael (Bat Boy) and Jennifer (Bug) and many nieces and nephews who she dearly loved.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee McGinnis; parents, Elizabeth and George Wyrick; sisters, Barbara Wyrick and Cookie Cheatham and brother, Jimmy Wyrick.

Family will receive friends on Friday, February 8, 2025 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with a funeral service to follow at 7:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 12:15pm for a 1:00pm graveside service at Clapps Chapel Cemetery, Corryton TN.
