Sheryl (Sherry) Miller Eldon, 69, 01/17/1954 – 09/21/2023
It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our beloved mother, sister, daughter, and friend, Sheryl Eldon on September 18th, 2023 at 11:35 PM EST in Knoxville, Tennessee. Several months ago Sherry moved to Knoxville to be closer to her youngest daughter and granddaughter. During that time she was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer and ultimately passed due to complications. She remained joyful, optimistic, and loving throughout the end of her journey. She is survived by her daughters, Erica Eldon and Heather Eldon Dimitropoulos; granddaughter. Penelope Dimitropoulos; brother, Grant Miller; sister, Renee Miller Swenson; father, Leroy Miller and five half-siblings. Sherry was born on January 17th, 1954 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Helen Hartin and Leroy Miller, and grew up in San Diego, California where she attended San Pasqual Academy. She lived the greater part of her life in Orange County, California. Sherry dedicated her life to the Lord and was a devout member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Her many hobbies like crochet, crafts, and playing piano brought her endless joy, and she maintained a full social calendar while participating in organizations like TOPS. Her children remember her as a kind, joyful, optimistic, and loving mother who taught them selfless compassion, independence, and was their biggest cheerleader. Her contagious laughter and kind nature left an impression with everyone she met. She will be dearly missed. The memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, October 7th 2023 at 2:00 PM at Los Alamitos Seventh Day Adventist Church (4921 Katella Avenue, Cypress, CA 90720, with a reception to follow.
