Shelby Lynn Cox

Shelby Lynn Cox “Unk” “Uncle” “Uncle E” of Heiskell, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 3, 2018. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and a graduate of Norris High School, Class of 1966. He served in the Army 1968-1970 and was a Vietnam Veteran. He worked at Rexnord for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by parents Link and Dora Foster Cox, in-laws Charles and Helen White Goodman, and brother-in-law Elmer Clyde Clark Sr. Survivors include wife Sharon Goodman Cox, sister Shilda Cox Clark, nephew Elmer Clyde Clark, Jr. and Tammy, special nieces Lee Ann Carson and husband Kenneth, of Heiskell, Diana Machanoff and husband Zack, of Knoxville, special great niece Cpl. Shelby Carson, USMC, brother in laws Dennie Goodman, of Clinton, Butch Goodman of Andersonville and sister in law Patricia LaBonte, husband Lou and family, of CT. Many Other uncles, aunts and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Zion Hill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with funeral service to follow at 7:00pm Rev. Charlie Tindell and Steve Foster officiating. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel at 10:00am Saturday, September 8, 2018 to proceed to Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery for interment at 11:00am.
