Shelby Jean Watson, age 75, went to be with the Lord July 7, 2014. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church. Shelby retired from Knox County School System where she worked as a secretary at Central High School. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Preceded in death by mother, Alma Gallie; father, Lacy Grodeman; sister, Shirley Sharpe. Survived by husband of 58 years, Buster Watson; daughter, Sharon Cramer and husband Mitch; son, Roger Watson; granddaughter, Crystal Auer and husband Jeff; great-grandchildren, Baylee Auer and Joshua Auer; niece, Susan Middleton; nephews, Joe Nighbert and David Nighbert; aunt, Barbara Brown; and several great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday at Salem Baptist Church with service to follow, Rev. John Holland officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem Baptist Church Building Fund. Family and friends will meet 10:45 am Friday at Highland Memorial for 11:00 am interment.
