Shelby Dwight Huff

Shelby Dwight Huff, 86, entered heaven on October 13. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Margie Satterfield Huff. Also survived by children Dennis Huff, Becky (David) Mink; granddaughter Kendra (Matt) Keaton; and great granddaughter Kingsley Keaton. Also survived by sisters Bettie (Tony) Bowden and Inez Rice, brother Gene Huff, brothers-in-law Roger (Nedra) Satterfield and Gerald (Freda) Satterfield, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Horace and Florence Huff; stepmother Frances Huff, brother Denton Huff; stepbrothers Bob Frazier, John Frazier and Jim Frazier; stepsister Ann Frazier Reagan. Shelby was a longtime member and deacon at Sharon Baptist Church. He was a Sprinkler Fitter in Local Union 669, supervising fire protection construction for the plants at Oak Ridge, having worked for Union Carbide, Rust Engineering, MK Ferguson and many others. Shelby loved Jesus and was loved by everyone who knew him. His kind and generous spirit will be greatly missed. Arrangements will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sharon Baptist Church Building Fund.
