Shawn Hawkins Smith

Shawn Hawkins Smith was born on July 3, 1996. Throughout Shawn’s life he always had a fascination with nature, machines, and art. In his youth Shawn would spend time drawing in sketchbooks as a way to express his emotions, interests, and unique perspective on the world. In his spare time he also tinkered with machines in an attempt to better understand them and try his best to improve them. The same could even be said about the guitars he modified in order to replicate Eddie Van Halen’s iconic guitars. Shawn was a creator and always strived to make something great, but nothing could be greater than his son James. The birth of his child ensures not only his legacy, but the legacy of his entire family. James may never have his father by his side, but he will always be watched over in heaven by both his uncle Sam and his loving father Shawn. Shawn is preceded in death by his brother, Samuel Smith. Shawn is survived by wife Rachel and son James; mother Sandra Smith Remington and step father Ben; brothers, Tristan Smith and Kyle Smith; Grandparents, Arley and Bridget Smith; Aunt Sherry Loy and cousins Zachary and Payton Loy.
