Sharon Whitson

Sharon (Acuff) Whitson, age 75, of Luttrell passed away peacefully on Friday, March 16th with her family by her side. She attended the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Halls. She was a devoted administrator for Ailor Mortuary for over 29 years. In retirement, she enjoyed spending time outside and taking care of her beloved animals. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Syllus and Mildred Acuff; brother, Lavon Acuff; former husband, Don C. Whitson and in-laws, Ernie and Elsie Whitson. She is survived by daughter, Tammy (Terry) Harms; grandsons, Brandon (Kim) Harms and Adam (Katy Edlin) Harms; sisters-in-law, Sue Acuff (Vernon) Williams and Carolyn (Earl) Savage; and Uncle, Bob Vittetoe. The family wishes to thank Dr. Fred Hurst and the 4th floor nursing staff at Tennova North for their special care during her illness. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00pm, Tuesday, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. Family and friends will meet 10:45am, Wednesday, at Sharps Cemetery on Corryton Luttrell Road for a graveside service at 11:00am,with Brother Steve Cassidy officiating.
