Sharon Marie Burns, age 62, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023. She was a lifelong member of Norwood Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by parents, Clyde E. and Helen Garner Burns; brother, Fred E. Burns; aunts, Sharyn Mize and Itha Garner Brown.
Survived by nephew, Steven E. Burns.
On Sharon’s behalf, we would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at UT Hospital for the great care and compassion, and the UT Hospice Care Team. Sharon’s ministry was sending cards for any and all occasions.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, September 8, 2023, from 5:00pm until time of funeral service at 7:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with Rev. Mike Petty and Rev. Kemp Wynn officiating. Family and friends will meet on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 10:45am at Ft. Sumter Cemetery for an 11:00am graveside service.
