Samuel Lee Nelson

Samuel “Sammy” Lee Nelson, age 38, passed away on September 29, 2024. He was a loving and caring father, son, nephew, cousin and friend to so many. He loved his son and mom very much and enjoyed spending time with his Braxton (the light of his world). He loved fishing, watching the Georgia Bull Dawgs play and taking his dog, and best friend, Daisy, on walks. Apart from his son, his heart and passion were cars. Sammy had been working alongside with his pops since he was fifteen years old, and later graduated from mechanic school.

Samuel is preceded in death by his father, Buddy “Pops” Morgan; grandfather, Eugene Nelson; and uncle, Richard Nelson.

Samuel is survived by his son, Braxton Lee Nelson; loving mother, Diane Morgan; grandmother, Wanda Nelson; aunts, Barbara Lawson and Kris “Sissy” Walden; cousins, Brandon (Crystal) Nelson, Kenny Lawson, Michael (Tiffany) Lawson, Sylvia (Erik) Musser and many more loving family members.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 PM. Online condolences may be expressed at mynattfh.com.
