Samuel Lee Roy Donehue

Samuel Lee Roy Donehue, age 85, of Madison, TN., passed away on December 1, 2022. He was a member or Warwicks Chapel Baptist Church in Wasburn. Samuel was a distinguished individual, had a driven work ethic, loved the outdoors and devotion to his family. He was an accomplished sportsman and talented musician which landed him in Nashville for many years until his long heroic and courageous battle with cancer. Samuel worked for 25 years at Reichold Chemicals Plat and at OMC Boats for 7 years until his retirement. Preceded in death by parents, Odis and Rama Donehew; brothers, Bob Donehew and William Donehew; sister, Linda Johnson. Survived by his wife of 59 years, Joyce Beeler Donehue; devoted son, Roy Dwayne Donehue; beloved sisters, Blanche Thomas and Eileen Chapman; many special nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, from 5:00pm until time of funeral service at 7:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with Rev. Richard Nicely and Rev. Gary Donehew officiating. Music with be provided by Mrs. Linda Nicely. Family and friends will meet on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 10:45am at Beeler Cemetery for an 11:00am interment service.
