Sam Wardlaw Taylor

Sam Wardlaw Taylor, Jr., age 77, of Knoxville, passed away December 21st, 2016. He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church and retired from K-Mart as a manager after 35 years of service. He was preceded in death by parents Sam and Brunelle Taylor, and sister Judy Stipe. Survived by wife of 55 years, Barbara Dill Taylor, sons Sam W. Taylor III and wife Darlene, Greg G. Taylor and wife Karen, and Marc Taylor, grandchildren Blake Taylor, Cody Taylor, Sean Box, Eric Box and Dr. Amanda Box. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 27th at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel, funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Robertson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 a.m., Wednesday, December 28th, 2016 at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery for an inurnment service at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Perry Austin officiating.
