Ruth Franklin

Ruth Franklin, age 84, of Knoxville, was saved at an early age and went to be with her heavenly father on March 9, 2018. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn H. Smith; second husband, Sam Franklin; parents, Fate and Myrtle McBee; brother, Swan McBee; sisters, Trula Hobock, Ruby Woods, and Lucille McBee. She is survived by her loving son, Stanley Smith, of Knoxville; sister, Helen (Luther) Cox, of Maynardville; several nieces and nephews and special caregivers, Ruby Hobock and Vicki Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be in Ruth’s name to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am, Monday, March 12, 2018 at Lynnhurst Cemetery for graveside service at 11:00 am, with her nephew Rocky Walker officiating.
