Ruth Adcox Mynatt, age 86, of Halls Crossroads passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 22, 2022. Born in Rockwood, TN. She moved to Knoxville at the age of 18 to attend X-ray training school at Knoxville General Hospital where she met the love of her life, Pete and his wonderful family. She later became an excellent bookkeeper for many area businesses. She was a member of Union Baptist Church of Halls for over 30 years. Ruth was a phenomenal homemaker, she enjoyed sewing, canning, gardening and being Pete’s fishing buddy. Preceded in death by her parents, Earse and Bessie Adcox; mother and father-in-law, Hassie and William Tell Mynatt. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 66 years, Harold “Pete” Mynatt; children, Elaine Wilkerson (Richard), Anita Shipley (Terry), and Joey “Joe” Mynatt (Barbara); grandchildren, Erica Shipley, Tyler Dahl, Keegan Mynatt, Sarah Buckner, Will Buckner; great-granddaughter, Charlotte Marie Mull; brother, B.J. Adcox (Pat); several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel 2:00-3:30pm with a funeral service at 3:30 pm, Pastor Gary Vandergriff officiating followed by a procession to Union Baptist Church cemetery for a graveside service. Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny Cooper, Duane Mynatt, Jeff Mynatt, Clint Walker, H.E. Leach, Brandon Easterday.
