Rudolfo Reyes

Rudolfo Reyes, age 76 of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. He retired from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He was of the Christian faith. He left British Honduras when he was 18 years old and in 1972, he moved to Knoxville. In 1973 he met Patricia Coward at the State Area Vocational School and they married in 1974. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; son, Buddy; parents, Ignacio and Adelia Reyes; and 6 sisters and brothers. He is survived by his children, Rudolfo Phillip (Natalie) Reyes, Justin Reyes, and Victoria Hemphill; grandchildren, Payten, Elonzo, Kayden, Britton, Isabella, Logan, along with Sophia; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5:00pm-6:00pm Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Emerald Ave United Methodist Church 1620 N. Central Ave Knoxville, TN 37917 followed by a 6:00pm “Celebration of Life” service with Rev. Dennis Loy officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:15 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Byrd's Chapel Cemetery 11270 Yarnell Road Knoxville, Tn for a 10:30 graveside service and interment.
