Ruby Lair- age 89 of Knoxville (and recently Lenoir City) went to be with the Lord on August 29, 2014. She was an active member and volunteer of Central Baptist Church of Fountain City and also attended First Baptist Concord Church in latter years. She worked at The University of Tennessee Hospital for many years. Preceded in death by parents Ferrin and Mossie Bridges; 8 siblings Maudie Bridges, Roy Bridges, Mary Hatmaker, Lewis Bridges, Lon Bridges, Lawrence Bridges, Charles Bridges and Cecil Bridges; husband Milam H. Lair. Loving mother and grandmother of son Stephen V. Lair and daughter-in-law Cathy Lair; daughter Suzanne Crockett and son-in-law David Crockett; grandchildren Summer LeAnn Crockett and Joshua Aron Crockett. Also survived by brother O. D. Bridges and sister-in-law JoAnn Bridges; sister Lola Blacky; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends will meet 1:45 PM, Sunday, at Pleasant View Cemetery in Maynardville for graveside service at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Jim Duncan officiating.
