Ruby Frazier Howerton, 97, passed away Sunday March 13, 2016 at her home in Inskip. Preceded in death by husband Charles J. Howerton, parents Wm C. Frazier, Alice Carr Frazier and her six siblings. She was born in Longs Bend, TN, and grew up near Whitesburg, TN. A long life well lived as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, homemaker, Inskip Baptist Church volunteer, vegetable and flower gardener, seamstress, doll collector and caregiver to all. She was a talented maker of apple stack cakes, fried pies, chocolate pies, chocolate chip cookies, cornbread,biscuits and much much more. Despite a 20 year struggle with Alzheimers and dementia she always remained a feisty Frazier girl. Special thanks to the most caring of caregivers, Iesha, Danielle and Pat. She is survived by children, Sharon Robinson (Jim), Chuck Howerton, stepson Larry Howerton (Rhonda). Grandchildren, Lorran Robinson, James Robinson (Megan), Catherine Robinson. Great granddaughter, Rylee Peterson. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kingswood School, www.Kingswoodschool.com. Funeral services will be 1pm Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, with Rev Mike Segers officiating. A procession to Greenwood Cemetery for interment services will follow. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
