DODSON, RUBY KATE (McFALL), age 92 died on September 22, 2023. She lived her life giving her love to her Lord Jesus Christ, her family and caring for others. She was a faithful member of Cumberland Baptist Church for over 55 years and served 29 years in the Bed Babies and Pre-school Department; served as Hostess for the Church as the Cook for many youth choir tours; and enjoyed many years with the Third Tuesday Sewing Missions group of the Church. She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years and the love of her life, Karl "Punkin" Dodson, her parents, Ethridge McFall and Lenore Crisp, siblings, Ernest McFall, Dale Walker, Eula Gibson and Billy Joe McFall. She is survived by her children, Karlene (Arthur) Maples, Rhonda (David) Mattingly, Tammi (David Newman and Brian (Donna) Dodson; grandchildren, Daniel (Janelle) Maples, Dustin (Ashley) Ford, Calvin Clabo, Dallas (Jamie) Dodson and Bailey (Justin) Farley; great-grandchildren, Carter and Keaton Maples, Bristol and Briggs Ford and honorary great-grandchild, Cade Cumble. She is also survived by her sisters and caregivers, Doris Hudnall and Aileen (Army) Smith, brother, Ray (Janet) McFall and special brother-in-law and caregiver, Richard Dodson; many nieces and nephews. She was blessed with the opportunity to care for and babysit her grandchildren and many other children. The children will receive friends on Wednesday, September 27th at Mynatt's Funeral Home - Fountain City, 2829 Rennoc Road, Knoxville, Tennessee from 4:00 - 7:00 with the service at 7:00. Graveside service will be Thursday, September 28th at 11:00 at Greenwood Cemetary on Tazewell Pike. Rev. Dan Hix presiding and Pallbearers will be Daniel Maples, Dustin Ford, Calvin Clabo, Dallas Dodson, Bailey Farley and Michael Seay; Honorary Pallbearers are Carter and Keaton Maples, Bristol and Briggs Ford. The children would like to thank God for the loan of such strong and loving parents to set examples to live by. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Horse Haven, P. O.
