Roy Daniel “Dee” Beeler, age 88, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully in the morning hours of Monday, January 23, 2023. He was a member of Faithway Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge # 244 F. & A.M. Dee was preceded in death by his parents, Roy D. and Beulah Beeler; son, Daniel J. (Danny) Beeler; sister, Neicie Wyrick and wife, Geraldine Beeler. He is survived by his children, Cindy (Darryl) Cruze, Gary D. Beeler, Kristi (Ron) Spurling and Melody (Brian) Rippons; nine grandchildren, Brandi (Shannon) Walker, Jeremy (Ashley) Bell, David (Courtney) Beeler, Brad (Denise) Beeler, LeaAnna Spurling, Brandon (Rachel) Rippons, Amanda (Josh) Myers, Shane (Savannah) Spurling, and Breezy Beeler; six great grandchildren with one on the way; brothers, Wayne (Gail) Beeler and Wint Beeler; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Long-standing friends, Anna Kay and Erby Bowles, Conrad Majors, Harold Wayne Finley, Jim Coppock, Herbert Hall, Ben Burnette; devoted neighbors, Aaron Wright, Ed and Terry Shoemaker, Jack and Teresa Hunley; The family would like to express their gratitude for the love and care given to Dee at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center staff and the Covenant Hospice Team. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with a funeral service to follow. Masonic Ceremony followed by Reverend Rick Graves officiating. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
