Rowena Marie Ball Mynatt

Rowena Marie Ball Mynatt, age 91, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 11th, 2017. She graduated Central High School, Lee College and was a member of Bell Road Church of God Worship Center. She served the community for more than 30 years as a LPN and retired from Hillcrest Nursing Home. Rowena was preceded in death by parents, Chester and Goldie Ball, siblings Bruce and Ruel Ball, Willine Johnson, and Elsie Burkhart, and former husband Carlos Mynatt, Sr. She is survived by son, Carlos David Mynatt, Jr., and wife Brenda, grandchildren; Lisa Stinnett, husband Justin, and Kevin Mynatt, great-grandchildren; Savannah and Hunter Stinnett, special grandchildren; Sarah and Rebecca Hunter; brother-in-law, Rev. Robert “Buddy” Burkhart, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. A Special “Thank You” to the staff at Amedysis Hospice for all your care, compassion and support. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 14th, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel, with funeral service to follow at 6:00 p.m. Pastor Charlie Dalton will be officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m. for a 2:00 p.m. interment service on Sunday, January 15th, 2016 at Roseberry Cemetery.
