Ross Berry, 87 of Corryton passed away quietly on Wednesday, May 17, 2017. Ross was born August 23, 1929 in Corryton to the late Harley and Ida Shelby Berry. He was a lifetime member of Clapps Chapel United Methodist Church in Corryton. As a young man, his passion had been working on cars. He loved working on old cars with friends and spent many hours beneath the hoods of many of the classic cars you see around today. He loved time spent with family especially with his grandsons. He loved good food, fishing and the Atlanta Braves. Ross is already greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Barbara “Bobbie” and 9 siblings. He is survived by a daughter, Susan (Bryan) Roberts; a son Steve and wife Liz Bosson; sisters, Bertha Kear, Margie (Jay) Lively; brothers, Ed (Wilma) Berry and Ronnie (Glenda) Berry. Additional survivors include his two grandsons, Steven Berry and Bryan Roberts Jr. A private graveside will be held at Clapps Chapel Cemetery. The family will later plan a service to where his friends and family can gather to celebrate his life.
