Roscoe Sharpe

Roscoe “R.J.” Sharpe, age, 94 of Knoxville, went home to his Heavenly home in the morning hours of Wednesday, January 25, 2023. He was born February 6, 1928, to the late R.R. and Gertie Sharpe. R. J. loved tending to his garden every year. R.J. was a longtime member of and Deacon with Lincoln Park Baptist Church. He was retired from the United States Army with thirty-seven years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Silas Taylor, baby brother, Gwen Sharpe. R.J. is survived by his beloved wife of seventy-one years, Aileen Sharpe; children, Mark (Susan) Sharpe, Tim Sharpe, Tami (Jeff) Taylor; eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren with one on the way; brothers, Billie and Freddie Sharpe. Family and friends will meet Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 2:45pm at the main entrance to Lynnhurst Cemetery for a graveside service at 3:00pm. Pastor Brock Tharpe and Pastor Trey Black officiating.
