Rev. Roscoe Oxendine, age 94, of Maynardville, passed away at his home on Monday, March 6, 2017. He was a World War II US Army Veteran. He pastored Haskins Chapel, Island Home, Oak Ridge, LaFollette, Skyline Drive, and Central Assembly of God churches and was the Pastor and Founder of Grace Covenant Church in Knoxville. Preceded in death by parents, James and Elizabeth Oxendine; brothers, John, Sam, and Harvey; sisters, Vick, Nora, Arlena, Lucy, and Juanita. Survived by wife, Mary Oxendine; daughters and sons-in-law, Marsha and Larry Williams and Sherry and Bill Wright; step-children, Theresa Heidenreich, Cynthia Wheeler, Dwaine and Brenda Fritts and Kevin and Angie Fritts; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Cecil Ailor. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Circle Assembly of God. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. Family and friends will meet 11:15 am Thursday at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E Governor John Sevier Highway, for 11:30 am graveside service with full military honors, Rev. John Lawson officiating.
