Ronald Wayne Clevenger, age 68 of Knoxville, lost his battle with Leukemia March 18, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Airforce, and retired from the TVA.
He was a member and deacon of Clear Springs Baptist Church and a Gideon. Preceded in death by parents Bill and Estelle Clevenger; sister, Vivian Irwin. Survived by wife of 49 years Jewell Clevenger; daughter Ronda Clevenger Hughes; son Todd (Michelle) Clevenger of Lexington, SC; grandson Caleb Clevenger; sisters Shirley Merritt and Marie (Rusty) Carpenter; brother James Clevenger; several nieces and nephews. Service will be 7pm Monday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, with Rev. Jerry Vittatoe and Dr. Damon Patterson officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Clear Springs Building Fund, 8518 Thompson School Rd Corryton, TN 37721. Family and friends will meet 10:45am Tuesday at Greenwood Cemetery for 11am interment. Pallbearers: Wayne Beeler, Larry Jones, Jim Greenlee, Phil Babley, Richard Tilly, Jerry Haney. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of the Deacons of Clear Springs Baptist Church and Jim Kirk. Family will receive friends 5-7pm Monday Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
