Ronald Mitchell Lane

Ronald M. Lane, age 69 of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 24, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones. Ron was a graduate of Bearden High School in 1971 and completed seminary in Ft. Worth Texas in 1983. He retired from Knox Area Rescue Ministries, where he used his gift to help change many lives in the Knoxville community. Ron was a lifetime member of Lincoln Park Baptist Church. He enjoyed golfing, auctions, antiquing and was The Beatles biggest fan. He loved spending time with family and most of all his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ann Lane; and brother, Sgt. Robert H. Lane Jr. Ron is survived by his children, Jeremiah Lane and Alicia Lane Kirk (Brad); brothers, Rodney (Pam) and Kelly (Lisa); grandchildren, Kaylee and Austin Kirk; the love of his life, Teresa Knight Lane; aunt, Marion Raper; uncle, M. H. Laney Jr.; nieces and nephews, Rodney Lane Jr., Amanda Ergen and Noah Lane, as well as several others. Family will receive friends 4:00-6:00pm Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel. Family and friends will meet 10:45am Monday, May 1, 2023 at Woodlawn Cemetery for an 11:00am graveside service, Chaplain Phil Groos and Rev. Tom King officiating.
