Ron Cory Johnson

Ron Cory Johnson, age 58 of Knoxville, passed away December 22, 2022. He loved his job and began his retail management career 38 years ago at Woolworth and finished at KenJo Markets as the Director of Retail Operations. Ron was an avid Nascar and Alabama football fan. He enjoyed spending time on the lake with his family and listening to Prince. He will be remembered as a loving father known for his sense of humor. Preceded in death by parents Jerry Lee Johnson and Virginia Claire Reid Lavett. Survived by loving wife of 21 years Trudi Marie Johnson, daughters Zoe Marie (17) and Lily Mae (13) Johnson, son Cory Johnson (37), sister Jill (Parker) Gillum and their son Garret, half-brother Austin Johnson, best friend Barry Thomas. Ron will be deeply missed by in-laws Brent (Debbie) Wood, Sherry (Tim) Bandy, Emily (Sam) Roberts, and Olivia (Justin) Mertz, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00pm Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Salem Baptist Church 8201 Hill Rd Knoxville,Tn 37938 with a Celebration of Life to follow.
