Roger Lee Atkins

Sgt. Roger Lee Atkins age 69 of Knoxville, formerly of Washburn, Tn went to his heavenly home Friday, December 2, 2022. Roger was born July 22, 1953. Predeceased by granddaughter: Makayla Dyer, Great Grandparents, grandparents, father: Roy Atkins, mother: Louise Sizemore, brother: Ronnie Sizemore. He leaves behind is wife of 13 years but by heart 53 years, Bonnie Atkins, stepson: Tony Dyer and his pride and joy his two granddaughters: Alexis Dyer and Haylee Dyer, special adopted granddaughter Arial Morgan, special "daughter" Nicole Conrad. Brothers: Michael Sizemore and David Sizemore, 2 special nieces: Courtney Sizemore and Amanda Geames, many other nieces and nephews. Four-legged partner in crime, Beaureguard Jebstewart, and special friend Johnny Eltz. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel followed by a 7:00 p.m. funeral service, Rev. Kevin Roberts officiating. Family and friends meet 9:45 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2022, at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery (John Sevier) for a 10:00 a.m. committal service with full military honors by the East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard.
