Roger Alan Hill

Roger Hill, 8-9-58, Knoxville, TN. Parents Don and Alma Chambers-Hill. He was the oldest of four children including Gary, Perry and Tanya Hill. Roger began his working career with his father building houses. He went on to become a licensed general contractor. He founded R&H Construction Inc. in 1987. In 1997 he formed Roger Hill property rentals which owns and managed various apartment complexes and properties in Knoxville, TN. He married his high school sweetheart, Lisa Waller Hill in 1981 and had two children, Steven age 21 and Lauren age 17. He was a dedicated family man and his children was his greatest source of happiness. He loved all outdoor sports including watersports, ATV's, and camping. Roger was diagnosed with pleural malignant mesothelioma in 2010. He took treatments at MD Anderson including a clinical trial. During his treatment he always maintained a positive attitude. In early August the cancer was found to have spread into his abdominal mesentary. Gradually his condition worsened and he passed from complications associated with his disease.
