Rodney Lawrence "Daddio" Hewitt

June 5, 1959 — July 23, 2014

Rodney Lawrence Hewitt, “Daddio”, of Powell, passed away July 23, 2014 at Vanderbilt Hospital after a lengthy illness. Member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. He was a fun loving great father, a wonderful son, and loved by many. Preceded in death by father, Eldred Hewitt; grandparents, Charlie and Beulah Hewitt. Survived by his mother, Karen Moore McClain and step-father, Scotty McClain; sons, Dustin Hewitt and Travis Hewitt; companion, Lynne Mahan Hewitt; special friends, Grace Daugherty and Josh Lakin. Family and friends will meet 10:15 am Tuesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel and proceed to Fort Sumter Community Cemetery for 11:00 am interment. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 pm Monday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
