Robyn Renne Large

Robyn Renne Large (Jones), age 48, passed away on Monday August 10, 2020 at her home in Knoxville, TN. She was born June 10, 1972 in Jacksonville, FL to Robert “Robb” and Carolyn Jones (Hicks). She attended Middleburg High School in Jacksonville and later went on to receive her associate’s degree from Roane State College as well as her bachelor’s degree from Tennessee Tech University where she graduated Cum Laude. Robyn was a devoted mother, wife, sister, daughter, and so much more. Those who knew her would describe her as outgoing, friendly, and full of energy. Growing up, she enjoyed vacationing in the Smoky Mountains with her family. Her friends and family meant everything to her. She loved animals and passed this trait on to her daughters. She was married to Steve Large on October 24, 2018. She was previously married to Robert “Bob” Coleman on July 1st, 2000; they were married for 17 years. Robyn dedicated her life’s work to protecting the elderly and disabled. She worked as a social worker for the state of Tennessee for 8 years. She also previously worked as a homemaker supervisor for ETHRA for 14 years. Robyn is survived by her husband Steve Large, her parents Robb and Carolyn Jones, her sister Kim (Barry) Koskiniemi, her daughters Alyssa (Andrew) Campogni (McMurtry) and Haley Coleman, her grandchildren Caroline McMurtry and Phillip Campogni, her nephews Ben and Will Koskiniemi, and many other beloved family and friends, as well as her furry companions. Robyn is preceded in death by her grandmothers Betty Jones (Cannon) and Patricia Hicks (Hilly), her grandfather William Hicks, her uncles Keith Hicks and John Jones. A memorial service will be held at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel in Knoxville, TN on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 5:00 pm.
