Robert Lee Holmes

Rev. Robert L. Holmes, age 88, a mighty warrior of the Cross, slipped peacefully away in Tennova hospital with his loving family at his bedside. He was a Bishop affiliated with the Church of God (Cleveland, TN) for 69 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert G. and Edith Holmes, and brother Charles Holmes. He is survived by his beloved wife, Helen Ballew Holmes; son, Kent Sr. and wife, Betty, of Cleveland, TN; granddaughter, Melissa Holmes Fulford (Lee); grandson, Kent II (Morgan); great granddaughter Mary McKenna Holland; brother, Rev. Benjamin Holmes; sisters Mary Sue Orswich and Sarah Cox; and many nieces and nephews in California. Family will receive friends Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 6:00-8:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Chapel Halls Chapel, with funeral service to follow, Rev. Benjamin Holmes and Bishop David Snyder officiating. The family will have a private burial service on Friday, April 6, 2018.
