Robert H. Elwood

Robert H. Elwood Sr. born August 30, 1942, passed away December 28, 2020 at U.T. Hospital. Robert was a 52 year member of the Shekinah Masonic Lodge #524 F & AM. He served as a deacon in New Beverly Baptist Church since 2003 and then as Chairman of Deacons since 2013. Preceded in death by daughter Cynthia Maria Elwood. Robert was a Gold Star Family member with his father Charlie’s death in February of 1945. Survived by wife of 58 years Janet L. Elwood, sons Robert Elwood Jr. and wife Rita, Michael Elwood and wife Julia, grandchildren Reid, Rebecca, Rhett, Forrest and wife Catilyn, Tanner, and Christian Elwood, special uncle Frank Cannon and wife Roslyn. Family and friends will meet 1:45 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Asbury Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service Rev. Eddie Sawyer officiating.
