Robert Franklin Dills

Mr. Robert Franklin Dills was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Robert will be remembered as a very exceptional person.       He was born April 7, 1931 in Knox County, Tennessee, the son of Robert and Julia Dills. Robert was raised with one brother, Fred.        Robert found love and married his wife, Johnnie and together they raised their children. Robert worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Robert was blessed with nine children, James, Patsy, Diane, Oscar, Mary, Judy, Ronnie, Michael, and Scotty.      Fortunately, Robert enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Robert worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. His primary occupation was as a laborer.       Robert passed away on October 26, 2012 at at his home. He is survived by children, Patsy May and husband Raleigh, Diane Nichols and husband Gene, Oscar Dills, Mary Dodrill and husband Sonny, Judy Jones, Ronnie Dills, Michael Dills and Scotty Dills and wife Rhonda, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, brother, Fred Dills and wife Janis, as well as several nieces and nephews. Services were held at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. Robert was laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery.      Simply stated, Robert was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Robert leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Mr. Robert Franklin Dills.
