Robert "Bob" Joseph Dennis

Robert (Bob) J. Dennis,86, met his Heavenly Father on the morning of August 6,2024.
Bob was born on January 28,1938 in Middletown, OH. He retired after 20 plus years of service in the U.S. Navy. He was a long time member of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church. Bob was a loving husband, father and grandpa. He was an avid U.T. football fan and greatly enjoyed boating,going to the beach and working in his yard. He traveled the world while in the Navy, but his favorite place was Cades Cove.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents Ray and Faye Estes, infant son Robert J. Dennis Jr., sister Cookie West, father and mother in-law’s Paul and Virginia Elder and sister in-law Cindy Elder.
He is survived by the love of his life of 43 years his wife Rebecca Dennis of Powell, TN. Daughters Kimberly (Jeff) Long of Clinton ,TN, Karin (Lee) Lyons of Knoxville ,TN., Brother Dean (Sheri) Estes of Grand Rapids,MI., sister Billie Rae Christy of Winston Salem, NC., and brother in-law Michael Elder. Grandchildren Monica Lyons, Matthew (Ashley) Lyons, Marcus (Jennifer) Lyons, Kaitlyn Wall, Jacob (Anna) Clinton, 10 great grandchildren several nieces, nephews and cousins. 
The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00pm Sunday August 11, 2024 at Black Oak Heights Baptist Church with service to follow, Dr Todd Stinnett officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45am Monday August 12, 2024 at Grandview
Cemetery in Maryville for an 11:00am interment. Services will include military honors. Memorials may be made to East Tennessee Kidney Foundation P.O.
