Ricky Thomas Clabough

Ricky Thomas Clabough, age 63, a life long resident and beloved patriarch of Clabough Hill in Knoxville, TN, took his last breath on this earth Tuesday night, March 27, 2018 in the loving embrace of his wife and best friend, Cindy Clabough, and was immediately transferred to the loving arms of his LORD and Savior. Ricky was a man’s man…. a veteran of the US Army…. steady and true and held no pretense. What you saw was what you got. He was a man of values and integrity…. a giver, a helper. He had a heart of gold, a knack for humor, and a great love for his family. Rick was a fine example of a man, and leaves behind (for now) a beautiful family who reflect the huge inspiration and model that he was. That family includes children Rick Clabough Jr. (Laura Richey), Russell Clabough (Barbara), Ryan Clabough (Barbi), Brent Orrick (Crystal), Nancy Corder (Robert), Chris Conner (Tonya), Kerry Conner (Euliser), Kimara Reuss (Trevor), Regina Nix. His beloved grandchildren include Anthony Kelley (Julianna), Serenity Kincaid, Ricky Clabough III, Ryan Clabough Jr., Sean Clabough, Ryker Clabough, Chris Rixie, Katelyn Corder, Hailey Stuck, Ryleigh Clabough, Reagan Clabough, Morgan Orrick, Daniel Orrick, Layla Guerrero-Conner, Kellin Kincaid, sisters Cathy Watson, Tonya Monday, Dawn Brewton, special sister Brenda Dixon, special nephew Rob Solomon, several other nieces and nephews, and special cousin, Dennis Clabough. Rick was preceded in death by parents Earl and Cathleen Clabough, and brother Jerry Clabough. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm, Monday April 2nd , at Son Light Baptist Church, with funeral service to follow at 8:00pm, with Rick’s friend Rev. Eddie Myers officiating. Family and friends will meet 9:15am, Tuesday April 3rd, at East Tennessee State Veteran’s Cemetery on John Sevier Hwy, for interment at 9:30 am. Rick will be greatly missed and talked about much.
