Ricky Ray "Shotgun" Merritt

Ricky Ray “Shotgun” Merritt, age 64 of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on May 1, 2023.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Merrit, stepfather, Dewey Devault, and daughter-in-law, Tiffany Merritt.

He is survived by his brothers, Mike Merritt, and Bobby and Neung Merritt; niece, Kayela Merritt; nephew, Shane Merritt; father, Junior and Mary Merritt; aunts, Sue and Dennis Drinnon and Wanda and Bob Fraker; as well as many other aunts, uncles, family, and friends.

The family will receive friends at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, from 5:00pm-7:00pm. A 7:00pm service will follow, officiated by Jody Darden. Family and friends will then meet at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel at 10:15am on Thursday, May 11, 2023, to go in procession to Fort Sumter Community Cemetery.
