Richard Scott Harmon

Richard Scott Harmon, age 73, of Powell affectionally known as “Pop Pop” passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021. A proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam conflict. Richard retired as a TVA police officer after many years of service. Preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Della Mae Harmon. He will be greatly missed by his children, Holly Harmon and Joe Harmon (Kim); grandchildren, Sawyer Clabough, Madison Williams, Samantha Wilson (Chris), Kane Harmon, Harlee Cummings, Evee Harmon; great-grandchildren Taizha Wilson and Kolt Harmon; sister, Beth Keirsey. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 5, 2021, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with the funeral to follow at 7:00 pm officiated by Rev. Terry Clabough. Family and friends will meet at 8:15 am, Monday, December 6th at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery-John Sevier for an 8:30 am interment service with military honors by East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard.
