Karnes, Richard Edward, age 43 of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 29, 2014. He attended Grove Baptist Church and was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He was employed as a Store Manager for Walgreens for the past 24 years. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend to so many. Besides his family and friends, his love was going to the Bristol race, watching sports, and fishing. He was loved and will be missed dearly. Preceded in death by grandparents, Elbert and Mildred Webb, and Adrian Karnes. Survived by his wife of 23 years, Tammy; son, Collin; father and mother Fred and Judy Karnes, grandmother, Irene Karnes, all of Knoxville; brother, Freddie (Susan) Karnes of South Carolina; several nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Friday at Salem Baptist Church with service to follow at 8:00 pm. Rev. John Holland officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Collin Karnes Educational Trust at any Home Federal Bank. Family and friends will meet 12:30 pm Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel and proceed to Ft. Sumter Community Cemetery for 1:00 pm interment. Pallbearers will be Freddie Karnes, Jr., Chris Karnes, Matthew Karnes, Chris Vest, Barry Vest, and Brian Hall. Honorary Pallbearers, Michael Karnes and Grant Karnes. Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel in charge of arrangements.
